Literary Worlds Lit Worlds. This site was highlighted in the September 2007 English Journal. The site provides virtual worlds for various texts, including Lord of the Flies. You do need to CONTACT THE ADMINISTRATORS TO ENTER THE ACTUAL VIRTUAL WORLD. It is suggested that you use this site to explore characterization. I have also used this site for Things Fall Apart with lower level students.
Google Lit Trips Google Lit. Trips offers another way of teaching great literature. Students can "discover where in the world the greatest road trip stories of all time took place." The site features great collections such as The Aeneid, The Grapes of Wrath, and Night, and continues to add more!

Your primary task:
Each group will develop the lyrics to a song based on the content of your chosen chapter. You are welcome to refer to other aspects of the novel, but you are responsible for the material in your selected chapter. You will hand in the lyrics in the form of a Word document.

Quizlet - This is a great website where kids can study vocab words. All you have to do is type them in and the kids can study them in several different ways, play games with them, test themselves, and even download flashcards.
